Recipe for Sandcastle Success

July 20, 2012

Today we are in for a great summer treat… Cerys from Rainy Day Mum is sharing her tips for building solid and successful sandcastles with the aspiring architects in our lives.

Summer brings back memories of sandy feet and hands, bringing buckets and spades to the beach, and sandcastle decorating with stones and shells found along the shore line. Building the first sandcastle together with your child and then watching him build one independently, is a memory to cherish forever. Getting in the sand and guiding a child to fill the bucket, pat it down and make the perfect castle for him is a golden moment. Whether that sandcastle is on a beach or your own sand pit, building it together, no matter how small or grand, is a recipe for a perfect afternoon.
