New Materials = New Inspiration

We just added new art supplies to our atelier and it has created some inspiration at our house. After reading this great recommendation – I have had my eyes on the Prismacolor pencils for quite some time. We also needed to replenish our colored marker supply and decided to go with the Pentel set of 36 colors (I had the same set in college and it lasted me for years). When our new goodies arrived I simply left them on on the girls’ craft table. After discovering them, they emerged hours later with a “family train”, which consisted of portraits of our entire family!

Okay – I know what your thinking. I realize our new pencil sharpener is taking the leading role in this photograph, but I could not resist! We needed a sharpener that would accommodate our large and small sized pencils and this one flashed me back to my own elementary school days. Now I have the needed inspiration to keep our new supplies sharp and ready to create – and I feel comfortable with the girls doing some of their own sharpening. Hmmm… I think I am feeling the need for a Family Responsibility Board coming on.
