A Popcorn Kind of Day
We had a rainy day filled with games, Legos, writing, painting and snacking on popcorn. It was a great opportunity for us to read the book Popcorn! by Elaine Landau. We learned some interesting facts about what makes popcorn pop, the history of popcorn, and the nutritional benefits. Next, we set out to do some popping of our own. We love to make popcorn on our stovetop using Eden organic popcorn, safflower oil and sea salt. Once the popcorn is done we sprinkle a little olive oil over the top as the finishing touch.
