There has been a lot of reading going on in our house this summer… With our oldest daughter starting to read longer books (Mercy Watson by Kate DiCamillo is her favorite series right now), we have found the need to have bookmarks close at hand. After unveiling our newly pressed flowers, we thought they would be perfect for bookmarks.
The girls were so delighted with the results that they wanted to share the process. I dropped a few of the photos into imovie and they retold all of the steps involved in making the bookmarks. Making the movie was a really valuable experience… The girls insisted on coming up with the script themselves and the photos acted as great prompts. It was a great exercise in sequencing and verbally recounting their story.
Note: The “Self-Sealing Laminating Pouches” by Scotch work much better than the “Self-Sealing Laminating Sheets”
